It was just cold enough to drive my hands into my pockets and the wind made me shiver once or twice as I walked through the park in my sweater. I'm looking forward to toque, scarf, and mitten weather. And I think it's coming soon my friends! The snappy cold air lingered all day even as the sun tried to generate some warmth. There is nothing quite like that smell of winter eh?
And winter IS coming. The world outside is getting duller by the day as the leaves lose their bright lustrous colours. I was glad to catch those that are still lingering.
Red is in this year and I'm loving it.
Change is in the air.
Ready. Set.
Go.
Yay for toques! Yay for smelling winter! Dude seriously someone could read both our blogs and know we were related :)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories as a young girl was when we in Manitoba and lived at a place that had huge oak trees, in the Fall one of the 'jobs' that had to done was raking the leaves. Each leave was huge and the piles grew tall and wide! One time dad let us jump right in the middle of the pile...it was so fun and after we had played around for awhile, I'm sure the leaves were once again spread all over the yard but I don't remember it being a problem....Dad just raked them up again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your thoughts on Fall....it brought back many happy memories :)
